Francois Vryburg, Managing Director of Immploy

Recognising a market need, Immploy have expanded our recruitment services beyond healthcare into a wide range of high-demand non-medical sectors. This extension of our placement offering marks a significant strategic milestone in our journey to become a comprehensive, national talent solutions partner.

Our foundations lie in medical staffing, where we have successfully placed numerous skilled healthcare professionals into critical roles across South Africa. While medical recruitment remains the core of our identity, the evolution of our service offering has been driven by a clear and consistent request from our clients: apply the same standards of quality, compliance, and reliability to their broader workforce needs. We have responded to our clients’ needs, so that what began as an organic extension – where approximately 30% of placements were already non-medical – now represents a formalised expansion of our business, built on proven demand and successful delivery.

Immploy now actively recruits across a diverse range of industries, including occupational health, clinical development (BLS, CPR, etc.), FMCG, logistics and supply chain, engineering, IT and technology, finance and accounting, manufacturing, hospitality, and the mining and industrial sectors. Leveraging the relationships developed and reputation built through our longstanding medical and healthcare specialisation, we are already making a difference in these high-demand sectors where skills can be considered scarce.

These industries were selected based on sustained demand for skilled, dependable talent in both permanent and temporary roles. Our scalable recruitment infrastructure, vast candidate networks, and rigorous vetting processes allow us to serve these sectors with the same responsiveness and quality our clients expect.

Central to this expansion is the role of our recruitment consultants and talent specialists. Our teams have undergone extensive upskilling and sector immersion to deepen their understanding of the nuances, terminology, and workforce needs within each industry. Through market mapping, talent advisory services, and close client partnerships, our recruiters act as “industry translators,” bringing the precision and care of medical recruitment into diverse commercial environments.

To support this growth, we have invested in significant operational enhancements. These include the implementation of cross-sector specialist teams, enhanced CRM and applicant tracking systems designed to manage multi-industry recruitment, the introduction of compliance frameworks suited to non-medical roles, and the deployment of advanced sourcing and digital assessment tools. Ongoing training ensures our recruiters continually develop the skills required to deliver excellence across every placement.

At the heart of this expansion remains our unwavering commitment to medical-grade recruitment standards. We apply the same thorough vetting, reference checks, qualifications verification, strict regulatory compliance, transparent communication, and ethical placement practices to non-medical placements, ensuring every client benefits from a recruitment process built on trust, integrity, and quality.

Client response has been overwhelmingly positive. Many organisations now consolidate their recruitment needs under one trusted partner, benefiting from streamlined processes, consistent candidate quality, faster placements, and reduced reliance on multiple agencies.

For example, a national FMCG company approached Immploy initially for temporary medical staff for workplace wellness initiatives. Impressed by our speed and quality, they later asked us to assist with filling logistics, finance, and production roles. Within weeks, we successfully placed a senior supply chain coordinator, multiple warehouse supervisors, an accounts assistant and seasonal production staff during peak demand.

As we look ahead, we aim to establish a balanced portfolio between medical and non-medical placements over the next five years. Our goal is to build on our proud healthcare heritage to position Immploy as a resilient, versatile, and future-ready staffing partner capable of powering workforces across sectors nationwide.
