A leading healthcare institution is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Midwife to join their Maternity Unit on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care
✔ Monitor maternal and foetal wellbeing throughout pregnancy and labour
✔ Assist with normal deliveries and support obstetric emergencies where required
✔ Educate and support mothers and families on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care
✔ Administer prescribed treatments and maintain accurate clinical records
✔ Collaborate with obstetricians, paediatricians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Minimum Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery
Current SANC registration as a Professional Nurse and Midwife
Minimum 23 years’ experience within a Maternity, Labour Ward, or Obstetric Unit
Current BLS certification
Computer literacy and experience with electronic health records
Key Competencies:
Sound knowledge of maternal and neonatal care
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and patient care abilities
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
